Labor Coordinator for Special Events
Primary Responsibilities:
- Review the schedules and labor requests for each job
- Book and confirm all crew using Lasso Workforce software
- Schedule outside labor vendors as needed, including union, non–union, and freelance
- Actively communicate with sales and production management regarding show details
- Distribute pre-show information to all crew
- Create purchase orders for show related labor
- Process timesheets for payroll, including auditing and error correction
- Conduct new talent acquisition searches, screening and hiring
- Process paperwork for personnel onboarding, updates, and changes
- Develop procedures to improve the efficiency, operating quality, and safety of all staff
- Work closely with Account Executives and the Warehouse/Logistics Manager
Secondary Functions:
- Work in a warehouse environment involving show prep and de-prep
- Load and unload company and rental vehicles
- Ensure compliance with shop paperwork protocols and safety procedures
- Operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles up to 26-foot non-CDL box truck
- Utilize basic carpentry and metalworking skills
- Assist with equipment maintenance and repair
- Perform shipping and receiving tasks
- Help to keep the warehouse clean and organized
Additional required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Special Events industry or personnel management experience
- Availability outside normal business hours as needed
- Possess and maintain a clean driving record and valid driver’s license
- Lift a minimum of 75 pounds consistently
- Ability to obtain a DOT medical card and forklift operator certification
